Hand-in-hand

The life of a Christ follower is a life of service; it is the example that Jesus shows us time after time.  Whether it was healing the sick, feeding the hungry, washing feet, or hanging on a cross, Jesus did everything to put others first and to serve them.  And, he said we would do even more amazing things than he.  Jesus meant for us, his followers, to serve together to change the world.

In the month of July Fellowship Church will examine what it means to serve like Jesus did.  Each week people of all ages will be studying the same passages of scripture and learning how to apply it to their life.  On July 18th we will have a family worship service combining chlidren, teens and adults in one high energy celebration.  Then, on July 24th and 25th we will go out into our community to live out the things we have learned my participating in the 3rd annual Community Makeover.  This year there will be 70+ churches in four counties going out together to accomplish hundreds of projects and enrich people's lives.  These four weeks could change your life as well.

Good Friday

24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement,[a] through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Romans 3:24-26 (NIV)

Peace

Peace- proving that you care more about others than winning an argument

The Good, the Bad, and the Peaceful

"Starting to argue is like making a crack in a dam. So drop the matter before a fight breaks out" (Proverbs 17:14, NIrV).

Will kids be going back to school in August where you live? What does "back to school" bring to mind? New Toughskins(R) jeans? Football games? Seeing your friends again? Homework and tests? Dreading the hard teacher? Gathering 'round to watch as a fight breaks out?
